Sometimes when I'm walking around the store, I'll see something that just *might* be a really awesome backdrop. I kept circling back to this gold sequin fabric and finally said "why not?!?" Luckily I have a little guy at home who will stand on a box (that just happens to be in front of my gold background). I am thrilled with this new backdrop and can't wait to use it for cake smashes!
It is with very mixed emotions that I make this announcement... The time to say goodbye to Washington is quickly approaching.
As you know, the name "Following Seas" is a nod to my husband's Naval career. Our tour in WA is coming to an end this spring which means saying goodbye to all of my wonderful clients-turned-friends.
I'm going to save all of the sappy stuff for later and I'll put out more information as we make more concrete plans.
"Fair Winds and Following Seas" is a nautical phrase of good luck or blessing as a person departs on a voyage in life.
We've got to practice our y'all-ing, introduce Landon to sweet tea and get our pale, PNW skin some sun because we're moving to Charleston, SC this spring. WoooHoooooooo! If you need me, I'll be mentally decorating my new house and deciding which swimsuit I'm going to wear to the beach first.
Sunshine, warm weather, late sunsets. Yes! Summer is calling.
I'm hosting a limited number of mini sessions to celebrate summer! Session dates, times and locations are listed below. Let's get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather!
Studio and newborn sessions are not part of this mini session event. These sessions are perfect for outdoor family, children and maternity pictures.
This weird thing happens when you try to photograph your own child.
It. Does. Not. Work.
He can't talk yet, but if he could... "Whoa mom. We talked about this. No gold fish. No pictures."
I spent my morning with one wide awake little girl. She finally gave in after nursing, cuddling with momma and the wool basket. Here are a few of my favorites from her newborn session.
Newborns are the best clients during their first two weeks of life. Let's talk about getting your session scheduled today!
