Kualoa Regional Park Drone Footage

I've wanted a drone since we moved here, and it finally happened thanks to a good deal at Costco. We went over to Kualoa Regional Park with no expectations. There was never any doubt that Hawaii was beautiful, but from the air... it's stunning! I can't wait to capture more of Hawaii from the air!

A Hui Hou Hawaii | Ka'a'awa Family Session

When my neighbors asked me to take their final family pictures in Hawaii, I was hoping for one of those magical evenings. Boy did we get one! Ka’a’awa Beach is a little gem, right off the side of the road. That’s probably my favorite part of Hawaii. The kids had fun running around and we got beautiful pictures in the chaos!

A Lazy Afternoon on the North Shore | AKA: I got a new camera!

I am dipping my toes in the mirrorless camera game… and maybe breaking up with Nikon? I decided to go with the Canon R6 because I’ve always loved Canon’s creamy colors. I was scared, but decided to make a small investment and see how it goes. We were heading up to the North Shore so I decided to bring the new camera + a 50mm prime lens along. First off, I can actually bring the camera with me without feeling like I’m lugging a ton of bricks! I am very encouraged and can see myself jumping fulling in by the end of the year.

My last family for 2021! The family gathered to celebrate the arrival of their fist grandchild and to spend Christmas together.

This little girl crushed her newborn session. She only woke up because I had taken a million pictures and it was time for her to go home. Lanikai is also the most stunning location for newborn photos.

A Hui Hou, Hawaii | Oahu, Hawaii Family Session

I am so glad we could fit in this farewell to Hawaii session! We had to reschedule which only left a few hours with us both on island. Unfortunately, it was right after this family finished packing. It was an early morning during a stressful time, but mom was so happy to have these pictures. In Hawaii, we say, “a hui hou” which translates to “until we meet again”.

A Family Session at Sherwoods Beach | Waimanalo, Hawaii

I always worry a little when a client books me again after a “unicorn” session. You know, the one where the weather is perfection, the kids are happy and engaged and the pictures turn out amazing. This year’s session was another hit success! Well, there was a moment when a bee sting almost stopped us in our tracks. After a few tears and a hug from mom, we were back in action.
