Ice Cream, horses and marsh - A very Charleston birthday session | Charleston Family Photographer

My son turned 4 in April so it was finally time to get his birthday pictures done. I couldn't settle on a location so I promised him a bunch of treats and we hit three charming spots.

Our first stop was the Market downtown for ice cream and horses.

Then we headed over to Mt. Pleasant. Our first stop was at the Pitt Street Bridge. After walking up and down the path, we had about 30 minutes left before the sun would set so we raced over to Shem Creek Park for a little dolphin watching.

It was such a good, classically Charleston, evening. And to all of my clients who feel bad about bribing their children in front of me. Let me just tell you, L had ice cream and a cookie for dinner.

What he wore:
L's first outfit was a simple cotton t-shirt from Baby Gap and a pair of khaki shorts from Target.
The lobster shirt is from J. Crew Factory and his red shorts are from Janie and Jack Outlet.

I thoroughly enjoyed a morning with these two brothers...I'm sure they enjoyed their cake for breakfast too!

3 Month Milestone Session | West Ashley Grow-with-me Photographer

I first met this sweet girl when she was just a few days old. She came back over to my West Ashley studio for some three month pictures and to show off her new tricks. She can *almost*  grab her toes and is getting pretty good at tummy time. She was happy as could be her entire session.

This sweet boy came over to celebrate his first birthday in style.

Cheers to 50 years!

I had a great time photographing this fantastic family as they gathered to celebrate their parents' FIFTIETH anniversary! Mother Nature kept us off the beach, but we were able to take advantage of a beautiful home.

Charleston Newborn Session

Southern Charm Family session | charleston Family Photographer

It's amazing how small the world is. My husband and I were sitting at our son's new school orientation when one of my husband's coworkers walked in. We were both stationed in Washington at the same time and knew they were back in Charleston as well. However, we didn't realize we lived in the same area, our kids went to the same school,  our youngest were born a few weeks apart AND share a name. Crazy, right?!

It was so fun to spend a spring night in historic Charleston with them. We started the session at Rainbow Row for family pictures and ended in a hidden alley for a cake smash.

And then the moment of truth... would he like the cake? It's a YES from me! :)

Every outdoor session with balloons should end in a "balloon race".
